About Me
I've spent more than two decades at the intersection of technology and labor organizing, building infrastructure that helps workers win.
As Co-Founder and Senior Advisor of The Labor Force, I’m helping stand-up a non-profit organization that provides the public with meaningful opportunities to act in solidarity and support workers and the U.S. labor movement.
Before The Labor Force, I co-founded Coworker.org, the world's first online platform for workplace organizing, and The Coworker Solidarity Fund, which has raised and redistributed more than $1m to worker leaders in direct cash support. I've held leadership roles at SEIU and Change.org, and hosted the first White House digital townhall on worker voice with President Obama. I've testified to the EEOC Task Force and the National Labor Relations Board on the future of workplace organizing.
I'm a TED Fellow, Echoing Green Global Fellow, J.M.K. Innovation Award winner, 2019 Resident of the House of Beautiful Business, and Aspen Institute Job Quality Fellow. My work has been featured in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, ABC World News, The Economist, and scores of other major outlets. I’ve delivered talks at numerous events and conferences, including House of Beautiful Business, TED, Next: Economy O’Reilly Summit, Personal Democracy Forum, Accelerate Good Global, Horizons JFF, Foo Camp, Techonomy, NYU Review of Law & Social Change, U.S. Department of Labor Policy Series, FWD & Progress (Australia), Tech for Good, Society for Public Health Education, CDC’s Prevention Resource Program, National Summit on Paid Sick Days, Rutgers' Center for Innovation in Worker Organization, and Harvard Law School Labor and Worklife Program
