Building a Labor Movement for the 21st Century
Areas of Expertise
Social Innovation & Movement Building As co-founder of both The Labor Force and Coworker, I’ve built a career around designing and deploying labor movement solutions that result in real, measurable impact.
Campaign Development Developing campaigns and platforms that connect public support with worker-led organizing efforts, from campaign design to technology implementation
Social Entrepreneurship in the Labor Space Advising founders and leaders building worker-centered organizations, platforms, or funds. I help navigate the unique challenges of social enterprise in the labor movement—including governance models, revenue strategies, and balancing impact with sustainability.
Mutual Aid & Distributed Organizing Models Creating frameworks for rapid response campaigns and mutual aid programs that build worker solidarity and organizational capacity.
Strategy for Funders Helping philanthropic organizations identify and support innovative approaches to workplace organizing, understand emerging models in the labor space, and fund projects that build lasting infrastructure.
I'm particularly interested in projects that take on the labor movement's most persistent gaps, like the disconnect between broad public support for workers and the movement's actual capacity to channel it, or what it could look like to equip workers with the tools and support to build power in their workplaces at any moment, without the help of a union organizer. I'm also drawn to creative experiments at the edges: repurposing union halls for community life, exploring alternative revenue models, shared ownership of worker assets, and other bets the movement hasn't fully placed yet.
